I launched a local chapter from scratch and built momentum around public transit.
All Aboard Ohio is a nonprofit that advocates for expanded public transit across the state. Before I started working with the group, every major Ohio city had a chapter except Dayton, which is a key stop on the proposed 3C and D passenger rail route. To expand our member base and advocacy potential, I took on the creation and launch of the chapter. I coordinated community outreach, media relations, events, and digital content. To launch the chapter, I led the first two events and invited journalists and civic leaders. Dayton now has an active chapter, which gives it a seat at the table in statewide advocacy and planning discussions.
